The garden has changed a lot since we moved in. From a blank canvas to how it looks now with Pargola, outside kitchen, wood fired oven, ponds, putting green, veg and fruit patches and a man shed (now a woman shed for Alison)
Below are pictures of how the garden has developed
The garden started with 4 different types of concreate and lots of grass.
A deck and pond were put in
Banana trees and other tropical plants were added
A fruit cage and further fruit bushes were planted
A tree house was added for any young visitors
A green house was installed for a bit veg
A man shed was built at the bottom of the garden with views over the field
A pergola, outside kitchen and wood fired clay oven were built
A 12 foot table was built for parties
Now little bit of peace
In the spring of 2018 the gravel at the back of house was taken up and Indian Sandstone was laid.
The shed got an extension and became the women cave, Alison wanted to do Zumba in the shed and did not want to move the scalextric setup each time. I built the extension and I still got to keep the scalextric set in there.
During the Covid 19 lock down the fruit cage was taken down and extra soil and compost brought in to make a bigger veg patch.
2024 saw a new bar made out of a panio.
